At 315Work Avenue, we strive to give our clients opportunities for creativity and connection through their daily work. In this case, we added some much-needed warmth by hosting an interactive candle-making session for our clients. It was fun, relaxing and had tons of fun surprises.
The session was very simple: create a custom scented candle. However, as you might expect, what took place was an incredible experience filled with tons of laughter, tons of concentration and the sweet, sweet aromas of candles that filled the room.
Pour – Design – Create
The instructor walked everyone through candle making in a very simple way, allowing everyone at the event to get hands-on experience from the first pour of wax to choosing their scent and creating some decoration for their candle. It could not have been any simpler.
One of the highlights was the adorable popcorn-style scented candles that looked so cute it was difficult to believe that they were real. Once all of the wax had melted and the scents were blended together, the room became filled with a warm and inviting aroma. This was such a refreshing change from a typical office environment; it was much softer, quieter and cozier.
What made the session special was how accessible it felt. You didn’t need to be artistic or crafty to enjoy it. The instructor ensured every step was easy to follow, making the experience enjoyable for both first-timers and DIY enthusiasts.
From “I’ve Never Done This” to “This Is So Fun!”
One of the most heartwarming parts of the session was watching initial hesitation transform into genuine excitement.
It started with curious smiles and comments like, “I’ve never done this before!” Within minutes, those same participants were fully immersed — carefully pouring wax, adjusting designs, and proudly showing off their creations.
There’s something uniquely satisfying about creating something with your own hands. The process sparked conversations, encouraged collaboration, and even brought out a bit of friendly comparison over whose candle looked the cutest.
The energy in the room stayed consistently upbeat. It wasn’t loud or competitive – just light, happy, and full of good vibes.
Too Cute to Take Home
When the candles were finally ready, the reactions said it all. They turned out aesthetic, charming, and surprisingly professional-looking. The popcorn-style design became an instant favourite, with participants admiring not just the fragrance but the visual appeal.
And here’s the twist- most of the candles didn’t even make it home.
Instead, they were proudly placed right on desks as décor. Tiny symbols of creativity added a personal touch to workstations, instantly brightening up the space. Every glance at those candles became a reminder of the fun afternoon spent creating them.
